Jooce Gossip Awarded Blog of the Month

BOTM 150x150

I’m thrilled, excited and honored that Jooce Gossip was awarded Blog of the Month over on BlogMommas.com for the month of July.

This is what BlogMommas had to say about Jooce Gossip

This month I have chosen a blog unlike any others I have previously chosen. For the July Blog of the Month I have chosen a celebrity news blog. You all may have heard of it as one of our very favorite contributors is the author, but if you haven’t checked it out yet then I totally recommend you do. For the July Blog of the Month I have chosen Jooce Gossip.

I don’t frequent many celebrity news blogs because most are trashy gossip, but Jooce is different. There are personal thoughts and opinions along with Christian values interjected much of the time. It is a clean celebrity site where you can actually enjoy reading about the latest happenings in Tinseltown.

We love ya Jooce!

Thanks so much you guys!!! :]

Joe Jonas’ Bet – I wonder if Miley Cyrus knows what the bet was about?

Michael Jackson’s Father Joe Jackson

Michael Jackson’s Dad irks me. I just don’t like him. Every time I see him on television he is out promoting his new record company. Pimping himself out and tooting his horn and using his son’s death to accomplish this. I don’t know about you but this is all rather disturbing to me. We have not seen or heard from Joe Jackson and all of a sudden he’s out to show his “support” for his son? It’s weird because the other day on television I heard him say that he hopes the media will be nicer to him in his death than they were in his life. I couldn’t help but wonder if perhaps Joe Jackson himself was being a bit of a hypocrite on that advice. I just don’t like that man.

The OxiClean Guy RIP

Obit Billy Mays

When my husband told me he died too I had no idea WHO he was talking about. I was told he was the infomercial guy with the knives and the cleaning products and THAT was when I knew who he was.

“To you, Michael is an icon,” a somber Janet Jackson told the crowd at the end of Sunday’s show. “To us, Michael is family and he will forever live in all of our hearts.”

The Incredible Mr. Limpet

If you’re looking for a nice clean cut forth-of-july independence day type of move, one for the whole family, then this would be the movie to buy.

I used to watch this with my father when I was a little girl. I didn’t really understand the story line back then but I can see why my father liked the movie so much.

I watched it tonight with my girls. It was a bit slow at times, and I almost fell asleep, but overall the girls loved it. My youngest one kept commenting on the lady fish because she was so sweet sounding.

Mild-mannered Henry Limpet (Don Knotts) longs to serve his country during World War II, but he can’t pass the Navy’s admissions physical. Classified as “4-F” – too small and too weak to be a soldier – Henry takes a trip to Coney Island where a magical wish changes Henry Limpet from a little fish in a big pond into… well, a fish! With a fin up on the enemy, Henry uses his new aquatic abilities to lead the Navy into battle as their ultimate secret weapon!

Mixing live-action storytelling with Warner Bros. timeless animation, this action-packed film has been digitally remastered for a viewing experience so crisp you can smell the sea air! Join Henry as he goes from sink to swim in this victory story that celebrates the hero in all of us!

BTW, I bought my copy at Walmart.

Gone Too Soon

Cap and Tax Crap

Congress, with the passing of “Cap & Trade”, has openly declared war against the will and needs of the American people. I mean, who in their right mind believes we should be DOUBLING our electricity and gas bills in this economy?

I’ll be discussing the rest over on Domestic Divapalooza.

Michael Jackson, one of the most widely beloved entertainers and profoundly influential artists of all-time, leaves an indelible imprint on popular music and culture.

Commenting on his passing, Sir Howard Stringer, Chairman, CEO and President, Sony Corporation, said: “Michael Jackson was a brilliant troubadour for his generation, a genius whose music reflected the passion and creativity of an era. His artistry and magnetism changed the music landscape forever. We have been profoundly affected by his originality, creativity and amazing body of work. Rolf Schmidt-Holtz, CEO, Sony Music Entertainment, said: “Michael Jackson’s unsurpassed artistry and beloved music brought joy to every corner of the world. We join today with his millions of fans in expressing our profound sadness and we offer our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. It was a true privilege for all of us in the Sony Music family to work with one of the most talented superstars in the history of music. We will miss him greatly.”

Martin Bandier, Chairman & CEO of Sony/ATV Music Publishing, said: “Michael was the kind of amazing talent that comes along once in a lifetime. To all of us at Sony/ATV Music Publishing, he was also a trusted and passionate partner, who was very proud of our accomplishments. He will be dearly missed. We wish his children and entire family our deepest condolences.”

Five of Jackson’s solo albums – “Off the Wall,” “Thriller,” “Bad,” “Dangerous” and “HIStory,” all with Epic Records, a Sony Music label – are among the top-sellers of all time. During his extraordinary career, he sold an estimated 750 million records worldwide, released 13 No.1 singles and became one of a handful of artists to be inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Guinness Book of World Records recognized Jackson as the Most Successful Entertainer of All Time and “Thriller” as the Biggest Selling Album of All Time. Jackson won 13 Grammy Awards and received the American Music Award’s Artist of the Century Award.

Michael Jackson started in the music business at the age of 11 with his brothers as a member of the Jackson 5. In the early 1980s, he defined the art form of music video with such ground-breaking videos as “Billie Jean,” “Beat It” and the epic “Thriller.” Jackson’s sound, style and dance moves inspired subsequent generations of pop, soul, R&B and hip-hop artists.
