About Jordin Sparks defending the Jonas Brothers
I watched the MTV VMA award show and I heard what Jordin Sparks said when she made her “slut” comment.
Yes, I was a bit shocked when she said the part about nobody wanting to be a slut BUT I also realized she was disturbed about the jokes that were being made concerning the Jonas Brothers, their belief system and the fact that they all (including Jordin Sparks) wear promise rings.
I believe her exact comment was:
“I just have one thing to say about promise rings. It’s not bad to wear a promise ring, because not everybody — guy or girl — wants to be a slut.”
Later on Jordin had this to say:
“I wish I would’ve worded it differently — that somebody who doesn’t wear a promise ring isn’t necessarily a slut — but I can’t take it back now. It was a split-second thing, and it came out kind of wrong. Still, I don’t regret it.”
I have a lot of admiration for Jordin because she did stick up for the Jonas Brothers. I think that was the intent of her comment in the first place.
Yes, she had regrets about the wording of what she said but she doesn’t regret what she said OR why.
I can respect that.
I think the Jonas Brothers are gentlemen and Jordin Sparks is quite a lady.
I watched her on Fox News last night. Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes interviewed her on their show. I thought the interview went well and it give viewers a chance to see another side to Jordin.
I also learned that she sang backup for Michael W. Smith at one time.
How cool is THAT!?
