Russell Brand was an MTV Nightmare
Yes, I have been watching MTV since the early 80’s. Yes, I watched the MTV VMA awards last night. Yes, I was disgusted by Russell Brand. He’s an MTV Horror that needs to go back to the UK where he belongs.
I don’t think Russell Brand had any business trying to insert his thoughts about our politics. Again, somebody else trying to make the Presidential Election about race and more Bush bashing.
What did he mean when he said use a Condom Become a Republican? What does that mean? Anybody out there want to spell it out for me? Was he trying to say that Republicans don’t use condoms? What was his point? Who cares?
The Jonas Brother’s bashing was over the top. The Jonas Brothers are young men who happen to be Christians. They have made a pact to not have sex until they are married and there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with that.
Russell Brand is the exact opposite of the Jonas brothers. Maybe he was insecure OR intimidated by them.
I thought the MTV VMA award ceremony was supposed to be more about the awards and the music. It seems they tried to insert more shock than anything else. I kept thinking that they should get on with the next category or go to a commercial break.
Perhaps my time could be better spent than to watch MTV.

I completely agree. Who is he to come into our country and bash our politics? I don’t care how you feel, let us deal with it in our own country. The Sarah Palin bashing was over the top too. And when did it become okay to make fun of retards on tv? It’s wrong in general. I was absolutely discusted.

Politics or not, I am absolutely disgusted with russell Brand’s performance of idiocy last night. He was Crude and disrespectful. I am so disapointed in MTV for asking him to host the show last night, It really showed MTV’s true colors. MTV went into this knowing that Russell Brand was fired in 2001 from Englands MTV for dressing up as Osama Binladen the day after 9/11…completely mocking and disrespecting the United states. WAY TO GO MTV! VERY PATRIOTIC…sure are teaching the youth of america, and at such a crucial time. I hope this bites you in the A**. And way to go Jordan Sparks, at least someone in the younge Hollywood has a head on their shoulders and isn’t afraid so say something when enough is enough

I heard about him dressing up as Osama Bin Laden. I thought that was horrific!
