I remembered hearing a lot about this story when I was a child. I think it won a lot of writing awards. We watched it last night. It was beautiful. This is one movie I would encourage families to have in their library.

    You know my sister went to rent this movie from Blockbuster yesterday for her 7 and 8 year old to watch last night and the guy at the counter told her it wasn’t appropriate for children! She said her daughter said all the kids in her class have seen it so they left and went to Target and just bought it LOL. They watched it last night and loved it! I can’t wait to see it!

    I didn’t know it was available to buy yet!

    We saw it in the cinema and it made me cry - and I kept welling up for hours afterwards. Lovely film, and one my children (11, 10 and 8) want to own. Definitely one to watch together the first time - lots of issues covered.

    I watched this movie with my daughter. I had to find a copy of the book and read it, but she didn’t like it because it was sad.

    I can’t believe Blockbuster would say that this movie is not appropriate for children!?
